A little Swiss Humor

by Rebecca on 29 Dec 2009

An American friend who used to live here in Switzerland once said the Swiss have no sense of humor. I’ve seen several indications recently, though, that that is simply not true.

First, I boarded this plane December 2 on the way to Dusseldorf.  Had to stop on the tarmac and shoot a few pics.  The other people boarding thought that was funny!

On the way home, I saw this ad on the train. FUNNY!

Best of all… this spot by myswitzerland.com was either produced by foreigners or is proof positive that the Swiss do, in fact, have a sense of humor. Enjoy!

Everyone has a sense of humor – sometimes it just isn’t funny. That plane though? That is funny.

I thought so, too, Lori! I had a close-up of the pilot that I thought was esp. funny… maybe a wee bit disrespectful to post here, though.

I just came back from a trip to a ski resort and I love that video! And cows are always funny, at least at a distance. I suspect the whole Heidi thing on the train to the terminal in the Zürich airport is a little tongue in cheek humor too. Thanks for posting.

Kathy, I love the yodeling on the train out to Terminal E. I usually forget about it til it happens and it makes me laugh out loud — then I’m amazed no one else is laughing. Just was there a couple of weeks ago and everyone else stood there on the train as if it wasn’t happening — which was just about as funny as the images projected on the walls and the yodeling.
