Eating, Praying, Loving

25 Jul 2010

I am really looking forward to this movie. I used to say I was living my own little Under the Tuscan Sun every day… soon I’m setting off on an Eat, Pray, Love, I think!

Got invited to Mauritius today. Now that’s a sentence I’ve never seen in writing before. Thank you, inviter. You know who you are. That conversation made my month.

After Under the Tuscan Sun, after Eat, Pray Love… what book to live then? Maybe Leaving Microsoft to Change the World or The Google Story?  Another Elizabeth Gilbert book, Committed — which is fabulous, by the way. I liked it much better than Eat, Pray, Love. This movie looks like a winner, though!

any film with Javier Bardem is a good film (at least while he is on the screen). Too bad he just got snaffled up by Penelope Cruz… Am curious about the film but, once I’ve read the book , the film never meets my expectations…

I am currently reading Elizabeth Gilbert’s “The Last American Man” which is a brilliantly written biography. Highly recommend it.

Cheryl, I didn’t know Javier… til now! Oh. My. Goodness.

I have to tell the truth… when I watch this trailer my breath catches a little every time he says, “You don’t need a man, Liz, you need a champion.”

The second time a man proposed marriage to me (not my second husband), when I accepted I promised him I’d be his champion. I was. Now I’d like someone who will be my Champion, like Javier here says… that’s going to require me to let him. Hmmmm… something to work on.
