The camera’s back and so we have some catching up to do! First there were the wonderful holidays with Mom and Dad, Rick and Molly, and Richard and Wyatt. As you can see, there is a family resemblance… and Mufasa wanted to sleep in the bed with everybody! Our December 24th family sledding adventure (for my Dad’s 60th birthday) was the biggest event of all — we went down Europe’s longest sledding run. Big fun with only slight injuries. I highly recommend it. It’s in Grindelwald. Mom found the perfect winter wonderland for our holiday.
The trip to France was next, but I didn’t take any pictures. I can’t imagine what I was thinking. I loved Lyon, it’s beautiful and I had a wonderful time with Mr. Not Right Now.
Since then, Andrew and Jess have been here. Here are some beautiful shots we (mostly they) took around town. I especially love the one of Jess with the hot, roasted chestnuts she got in a piazza downtown.

Showing them around I had a lot of, “I can’t believe I live here!” moments. Then we went in the car to Davos. These are shots Andrew took through the car window!
In Davos, Jess and I ski boarded and Andrew went very, very fast. He set three world records for his age group.
I love the photo here of Jess dipping chocolate in chocolate. We are, after all, in Switzerland, land of chocolate!

I think any sport where you get to look at athletic men in suits like this is a very, very good idea.
One of the highlights of our trip was a fabulous, fun dinner with a group of Italian Masters speedskaters, many of whom are former Olympians. I wish I had a photo of all of them to put here, but I don’t.
And so here we are. A new semester has begun. Maybe next I’ll share photos of my new office… when it’s all straightened up and looking good.
The view is beautiful. The sun is gonna set soon over the mountains and the church on the hill will be all lit up. Life is good. This is the new me for the new year… thanks for visiting with me here…
