I now interrupt this long blog silence with one of the funniest randomly generated things I have ever seen.
The photo is randomly selected and inserted on the page, so if you go to St. Olaf University’s About page it will probably not look like the image below. Check out the juxtaposition I got a few days ago, though. Ponder, if you will, these guys clearly sleeping off a long night on a sunny quad with the text below them, which read:
“To study at St. Olaf is to engage with and make sense of the world, to learn how to think and to reason.”
Good luck with that, all you Professors out there!

and “St. Olaf students work closely with dedicated professors who challenge them to grow in mind, body and spirit. They have the opportunity to conduct graduate-level research, study abroad in nearly every corner of the world, perform in some of the world’s great concert halls and contribute to athletic championships.”
Right after this nap.
Let’s hope somebody can “help [these] students become effective citizens in an increasingly complicated world.” ![]()
I got a good chuckle out of that.
