Andrew (see Very Fast Andrew link at right) and I are sitting here in my office in Switzerland, which is funny because we met 16 years ago when we’d sit in a waiting room in Massachusetts. We’d sit there after our allergy shots waiting to see if we were going to go into shock. We talked about my boyfriend, sports, school and life in general. We became friends.
Then years later we saw each other at an alumni gathering in Colorado. We talked about my new boyfriends. We beame better friends. That went on for years.
Then we were in Utah. I used to live there, he and Jess live there now.
Now here we are in Switzerland. In my office. This is so cool. We’re not talking about my boyfriend because I don’t have one.
Anyway, talking about life and love and work and blogging… it has become clear to me that I am going to have to edit my blog. Some information about my life here cannot be public like this anymore. This is the paradox of blogging. If it’s at all interesting, people tell people. Also, legally one can have no expectation of privacy on workplace servers… so I’ve got to start editing my thoughts, making them fit for public consumption. I am not very good at that at all. I am earnest to a (BIG) fault. This isn’t what Helen and all my girlfirends intended with blogging, I think. I like the idea, especially since I’m far away, of having a private little space where we all just commune with one another. This isn’t that anymore.
That makes me happy and sad all at once.
Never one to dwell on such things, we are off to Davos tomorrow. Andrew promises to skate very fast. He has been breaking world records this week. I am looking forward to getting to share this passion with him — he didn’t speed skate til he was 31 years old, so this is new.
I promise MANY more pictures soon — I’ve gotta get the little connector cord unpacked in my new office and then I have lots of photos from the last couple of months to share!
Much love,
B or R or however you know me…

There’s a way as well that you can lock your blog so as to only allow certain members to view. How about that? Can’t wait to talk to you!!!
